    Speech Solutions Hawaii, a small and thriving private practice, is looking for part-time and/or full-time Speech Pathologists on Oahu (we have 2 locations - Honolulu and Kapolei). Speech Solutions is a private practice treating toddlers through adults in the fields of Speech-Language Pathology and specializing in Orofacial Myology. Work in a family-oriented atmosphere, fostering growth while staying on the cutting edge of therapeutic approaches.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Provide direct services through assessment, evaluation, consultation and treatment.

    • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records for all patients served.

    • Provide thorough assessment reports for parents, schools, doctors, etc. who may require them.

    • Attend internal and external professional development opportunities.

    Requirements include:

    • CCC's, Masters or Doctorate degree

    • Current Hawaii license

    • Experience with children a plus

    • Experience with orofacial myology a plus

    • Successful completion of required background checks and clearances

    • A passion for working with children!

    • Moderate Computer Skills

    • Positive attitude

    • Organizational Skills

    • Adaptable to a patient’s needs

  • As an administrative assistant you will assume the duty of clerical and administrative support in order to optimize workflow procedures in our office. Your smile and “can-do” attitude will be the backbone for making a true difference in our community.

    You will assist colleagues and executives by supporting them with planning and distributing information.

    You will be the point of reference for all queries, requests or issues and will be an integral part of the company’s workforce.

    Responsibilities may include:

    • Answering phone calls and redirecting them when necessary

    • Accounts Receivables

    • Making collection calls to accounts overdue

    • Manage the daily/weekly/monthly agenda and arrange new meetings and appointments

    • Prepare and disseminate correspondence, memos and forms

    • Scan, file and update contact information of employees, customers, suppliers and external partners

    • Support and facilitate the completion of regular reports

    • Maintain the filing system

    • Check frequently the levels of office supplies and place appropriate orders

    • Make travel considerations for traveling therapists

    • Document expenses and hand in reports

    • Conduct business with office standards

    • Prepare reports/faxes for billing health insurances

    • Maintain EHR programs

    • Track and maintain health insurance authorizations

    Requirements

    • Work experience as a healthcare administrative assistant is a plus

    • EHR experience is a plus

    • Familiarity with office organization and optimization techniques

    • High degree of multi-tasking and time management capability

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Integrity and professionalism

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, electronic medical records

    • Experience with CPT codes and billing a plus

    • High school diploma

  • An externship is a short, unpaid period of time where participants have the opportunity to gain experiences in different aspects of therapy. Externs have not yet graduated.  Externship hours are required by your university to obtain the clinical experience that are necessary for completion of graduate school. The Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech Pathology (CAA) requires a mutual agreement between your academic institution and Speech Solutions. Speech Solutions accepts 1 externship per quarter to ensure that you have a quality and focused experience with us. We interview our applicants prior to accepting candidates.  If you would like to apply for an externship with us, please submit your application below.
